Welcome to The Smart Small Business Show.
I’m your host, Todd Abraham, and I want to personally thank you for joining me for this very first episode.
If you’re a small business owner, entrepreneur, startup founder, or someone who dreams of owning a business someday, this show was created with you in mind.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with businesses in many different industries. One thing I’ve learned is that most business owners are incredibly talented at what they do.
The plumber knows plumbing.
The electrician knows electrical work.
The roofer knows roofing.
The mechanic knows vehicles.
The landscaper knows landscaping.
The restaurant owner knows food and customer service.
The problem is that running a successful business requires much more than being great at your trade.
To succeed today, business owners also need to understand marketing, websites, branding, customer acquisition, artificial intelligence, online reviews, social media, sales, operations, hiring, and dozens of other topics.
That’s a lot for any one person to master.
And that’s where many business owners struggle.
Not because they aren’t smart.
Not because they don’t work hard.
But because they’re trying to wear every hat in the business.
They’re busy serving customers, managing employees, handling paperwork, solving problems, and trying to keep the lights on.
There simply isn’t enough time to become an expert in everything.
One of the biggest mistakes I see business owners make is trying to figure everything out on their own.
The most successful business owners I’ve met aren’t necessarily the smartest people in the room.
They’re the people who are willing to seek wise counsel.
They’re willing to learn.
They’re willing to ask questions.
They’re willing to learn from people who have already traveled the road they’re on.
And that’s exactly why this podcast exists.
The Smart Small Business Show was created to help business owners make better decisions, avoid costly mistakes, and discover practical strategies that can help them grow.
This isn’t going to be a show filled with complicated theories or corporate buzzwords.
Every episode is designed to provide practical information you can actually use.
We’ll discuss marketing strategies that attract customers.
We’ll talk about websites that generate leads.
We’ll explore branding, customer service, AI tools, business growth strategies, and the lessons successful business owners have learned through experience.
We’ll also bring in guests who can provide expertise in areas where business owners commonly need guidance.
My goal is simple.
I want every episode to provide at least one idea that can help you make more money, save money, improve your operations, or avoid a mistake that could cost your business time and resources.
